Mise en Place (15 min)
Organizational Systems (5 min) What are the organizational systems you use in your life? They are EVERYWHERE. Think about how you organize, time, space, materials, relationships, digital stuff… Brainstorm a list with your partner. You need to have at least 10 things on that list. My (partial) list:
Now, where in your life do you feel super organized? Where in your life could you use MORE organization, or mise en place?

Finish Long and Short Term Goals
Choose TWO goals you would like to focus on. One must be long term, and one must be short term. Choose goals that are genuinely important to you! Now, using the worksheet linked above, step out those goals. We are going to be making accountability groups that will check in on our progress for the rest of the semester, once a week. Journal 6
Goal Evaluation
Today, you're going to pick two of your goals that you brainstormed on Friday- one short term, and one long term. These should be goals that you feel strongly about wanting to achieve, and goals that you are comfortable sharing with other people in our class. Today's work will be to evaluate those two goals using the handout linked above. You can either make a copy of the handout, and do this digitally, or you may do it by hand. Your goal evaluations and Journal 6 will be due at the start of class on THURSDAY. You will have all day today and Tuesday to work on these two things. Goal Setting Reading
Complete the notes here and the goal setting brainstorm at the end before class on Monday. I will be checking these for a grade! Best Future Self Make a copy of the document above, and complete the past successes list. (20 min) Discussion- Past Successes Meet with small groups of 3. In your groups, share your past successes with each other, and discuss one of them in depth. Then discuss the following questions as a group:
Visualization- On your best future self document, under the day two section, you need to complete a visualization. For this, you need to spend at least 10 minutes responding to the following prompt (you should be writing the whole time): Visualize your ideal life in ten years (if ten years is too hard to imagine, try five!). Think about what your family is like, what you do with your days, what you feel like emotionally inside, what activities you do, what people are there. What kind of life will bring you the most joy? What values do you have? This is the time to dream big, and to really articulate the details. If you get stuck, try listing adjectives that describe what your life is like, drawing a picture, using the 5 senses to describe what it feels like. The goal here is to write, for the full 10 minutes, a full visualization of what your ideal life is in 10 years. You will be in your mid to late twenties! HOMEWORK- Complete the visualization before class on Thursday! It will be our springboard for class, so make sure it is complete! Kandice Confidence Presentation- Let's finish these!
Popson’s Dilemma Debrief
What If Up- Digging into research on this tomorrow, but for today, we’re going to focus on goals you have that you haven’t started pursuing yet. Often, we talk ourselves out of our goals that we have with the dreaded “what if…”.
